Well as Dave can tell ya'll, whenever I manage to attend a gathering I bring along my tools, a couple staves, the fold up shaving horse  :BB and one, (or two...), of my Wife's buttermilk pies.  :)
So, since she hasn't gotten it baked yet I guess I'll be a little late gettin' in.  :-[

Here's one I'm working on. Big old knot with a stick growing out of the center of it

Good idea Mr DVS!
... alone in distant woods or fields, in unpretending sproutlands or pastures tracked by rabbits, even in a bleak and, to most, cheerless day .... .  I suppose that this value, in my case, is equivalent to what others get by churchgoing & prayer.  Hank Thoreau, 1857

Been an hour and I barely have any of it roughed out. Gotta be more aggressive.

I should be at the KY tradfest right now.  Guess I'll hang out with you guys instead.  I've been cleaning up the last of my osage staves and started on a couple of bow racks to hang my selfbows on.

I started out with nothin' and I still got most of it left

Spent a couple hours tonight sanding on my bow for the 2020 bow swap.  I have two bows going that can be swapped.....I'll just need to finish them both and see which is better.  I REALLY don't enjoy sanding, but it has to be done so tonight was the night.  Done now thankfully and I will stain it later this evening.
