Here's one more then DC ;)
I'm going to be rejuvenating the finish on this one tomorrow. This bow is in my personal favourite top 3. Smoking fast, zero shock like you don't even know you've let go of the string type no shock :)
I think i'll chrono it before I do the finish as I can't remember the actual numbers.

Y'all pu me to shame.  I'm uploading pics now of a stave I have that I need help on.  I don't know how to proceed.

I have a 76" white oak stave with twist in one limb.  I know white oak heat bends and steam bends.  The question is how to do it with no tools?

My project. A 60" Yew bendy. I've never done a bendy handle that I remember so should be interesting. The stave is one of those long tapered splits that you get when things don't go quite right. It's 3" wide at one end and 3/4" wide at the other and the thin end was split in three spots. By the time I cut the splits off it was 60.5" long so I decided on a bendy. It's got a couple of wiggles but no knots. It must be about 80-90 RPI because I had to use a 10x lens to see them. It was cut in 2014 so it should be dry.

Picture of problem stave and idiot operator.  Anyone got any idea how to straighten that stave?

Unfortunately I am being made to work right now. When I get home tonight I will be chasing a ring on these billets and readying them to be spliced together. They have some color to them and are spotless. Should make somebody a fine bow.
I too am required to work, but the work day is over. Party time. :BB

Mark, he is an osteopathic doctor, he is learned/trained to think differently :) Don't try to save him!

And to think, I was there at his first visit to Mojam...  :)

Sure were Paul! It’s been a long time. I’d like to make it down again some time. :)

The last time you made it down I think you managed to "drag" your sister along with you?
Looking forward to seeing you again sometime Ryan.

I'll play. Couple recent ones. 66" ntn with 2 hole osage. no heat or correction. bad checks and narrow in the handle so laminated both sides and capped it. 45ish at 26.

Black locust 61" ntn single scalloped. 50+ at 26"

Paul....those bows have the most beautiful tiller/limb bend.  I really appreciate bows that are aesthetically nice to look as we well as shoot and those are really nice!  Well done.
