Osage in septic fields

I'm looking for a place to plant my Osage trees. The best spot in my yard is in my septic field. Is this a problem? Are these going to fill the pipes with roots like a Willow dies?

Anything you plant near a septic system will send roots towards the moisture and nutrients. I would suggest finding another location.

I read of primitive method for bow building with osage where the bowyer selected a osage sapling from a creek bank and dug up the taproot along with the sky side. made the handle at the bole, the lower limb from the taproot and the upper limb from the trunk

I don't know about that, of course anything is possible, digging up the tap root would be difficult. If the ground was soft enough to pull it up it would be doable. I know they would cut one stave out of living tree and leave the tree alive and standing.
