shed hunting

Is anyone in the Midwest (northern MO/southern IA especially) finding any shed antlers yet?  I haven't been out looking this past week, but so far have struck out.

Are they already dropping over your way?

Just a few days ago I sat in the yeard watching two muleys lock antlers.  One was a 4 point (aka 8 point in some psrts) snd the othet a 5 point (aka 10 point in some parts).  We may have another month or so to go here in northern New Mexico.

It varies, but I have found them in early March before.  That's cool that you got to watch a buck battle (or maybe just workout session - I know desert deer rut late, but I didn't think the rut extended to March).

Not too sure about shedding, sparring, or rutting, but the elk are sure wreaking havoc on the fences up here!  On the other hand, not too many fences can stop 200-500 elk when they decide to go through!  (lol)!
Life is far too serious to be taken that way!
