I don't have enough experience with the bows yet to comment on anything other than my experience gathering both. It was much easier for me to find One-Seed Juniper branches/stumps that are suitable for bows than Alligator Juniper. Almost all the Alligator Juniper I found was either knotty or twisted in lengths suitable for bows, but the One-Seed seemed to produce about 1 tree in 30 or 40 that had fairly straight stumps in 60 inch lengths. Probably not a universal situation but that was my experience in Arizona.
