Ok so a lot of people get a get the notification that a picture is too big when they try to post pics. Here's the thread you've been looking for! I know a lot of people use imigur or something like that but its only a matter of time untill they're hijacked like photobucket. Heres how you can keep those precious pictures while still posting!

I then got this app called photo resizer. Here are the steps i go through.

I go into the app and click on photos.

I choose the photo i want to resize.

I then press the resize button.

I am given choices on how to resize. Note, 40% does not always do it but will give it a better look.

It will then resize it. Press the picture button and something like this will open.

Press pictures

Open photo resizer and choose your photo.

Post as normal and theres your picture!

I think the way to post pics from iPhones and from PCs is different. I don't have a smart phone so I have no idea how to post pics from them. For me using a hosting site is the easiest. Also I have my digital camera set to the lowest resolution setting which helps me post a pic or 2 directly to PA.

I use a PC as well and Microsoft office manager to edit pictures. And make them 640X480 before I store them in the picture files on my computer.

Like I said, all my pictures are the right size but PA doesn't accept them over half the time.

We just don't have the storage to accept all the pics.

I use an old program called Microsoft Photo Editor from MS Office, you don't even need MS Office to use it.  Simple and easy to use

I have the same pictures on imgur so it is no problem when PA rejects them to snatch them off imgur and post them here for 3rd party posting.

I don't have an electronic leash (smart phone) and do everything from a PC, I use the same photo editing program as Marc, super easy.

I got an electronic leash. I'm sure some poor sap is monitoring my every move. I don't really like that but I'm never by my computer. Since the whole Photobucket thing I've gone to a resizing app. I keep the pictures physical size the same but reduce the pixels. Then I save to my phones library and post from there. It's not as sharp but it isn't distorted or a thumbnail.

The bad thing as I understand it. When I post one using this method someone's gets deleted that posted using the same method.

I have tons of pictures on Photobucket, useless for third party hosting but I can go to their site, pull up one of my pictures and save it to my computers photo folder to put on Imgur or directly post here or on other similar sites.

I understand one can transfer entire folders from photobucket to their computer but I haven't figured that out yet. I have over 700 pictures on the photobucket site.
