I will be sending my package monday. I had an accident at work so I will be sending my guy a set of yew billets and a take down sleeve and some other stuff to make a yew takedown. Soe leather and such. My accident will keep me out of bow building for a few weeks because I cut my fingers bad. Sorry it's not going to be there before Christmas but I will get there shortly after.

Rob, did you figure out how to swap blades yet?

That knife is inspired by the only Viking context folder I’ve seen good documentation for. You get either a short blade or a long one. Both are very sharp.

I make two of most projects. I’m carrying the mate of yours. I sent you the one with slightly smoother folding action. If nothing else, it is a wonderful novelty to show other knife lovers.

Patrick I'll check that out I thought it did but didn't want to force something I shouldn't.
I'm going to try making some of those I really like it.

The link I posted in the past to my blog shows the pivot area pretty well. I suggest being really slow and careful as you adjust that part. It is the finicky part of making these. I now carry mine daily on my belt. I have yet to need the long blade. The short one does all I normally need.

Glad you like it!

patrick,
Can you repeat that link?  I don't remember seeing it.  Thanks.  Also a build along would be neat! (f)

Patrick what kind of steel did you use?
I'd like to see a build along also. I really like that knife.
