Very fine, BJ!  These many years into flintknapping and I still stink at doing that type of flake over grind work.  I've seen guys at knappins make it look like a 5 year old can do it, too!  Ha.  Nice knife nice tree.

Thanks Steve. I'm still a long ways from as good as you or those others. I get by. But it is amazing to watch people who really know what they are doing.

I got busy at other things that just always seem to pop up and get in the way. I'm hoping to make a stand soon and I'll try to add it to this post. Might take a bit for some inspiration. Might even have to do a little Beach combing

Thanks everyone for the kind words and looking

Oh Oh, I see some drift wood coming. Land locked folks may not know what that is.

Fantastic job with that one, Brian. You've come a long way chipping.

Thanks Eddie. I really still have a lot to learn. This knapping really has a way of keeping me humble.lol

Yup Jon, you guessed right. I'm still putting stuff together, but it might be this combination. I've got a couple pieces of driftwood I received compliments from the big lake. Thinking about using this one.

Could you fix the antlers into the driftwood?

Yes WB. That's my vision. If I use this combination. I'll cut them to fit where I want them and hold knife how I'd like it displayed. Then probably clear epoxy to fasten them to driftwood.

I'm still not sure I like this driftwood. I'd like to seal it with something, but everything I try turns it so much darker.

I put one coat of linseed oil on for now. I'll probably buff it and put several more on.

Then I cut my antlers and dry fit them. This is my vision. I kinda like it now.
