Very nice DC.  I like your style of R/D a lot.  I bet this bow is very smooth to draw and fun to shoot.

Thanks for the comments guys. I was actually surprised how smooth it was. With the extra length I was expecting it to have some thump. When i originally wanted it to be a little longer I was thinking maybe 68-69". Had a bit of brain fade I guess and wound up with 71". I'm toying with piking it a couple of inches and redoing the recurves but i probably won't.

That's a real nice bow, don't you love it when they draw so smooth! At 171fps I would not pike it!

Thanks guys. A google search told me that there is an Eastern species of Ninebark

Very nice work drawing that one out Don. I dig it. Gotta love those bushy hardwoods we got. I’ve been after some nine bark for a few years never seem to run across any. Can’t wait to see the next one bud. 👍🏼👍🏼

Marsh margins and stream banks are where to look. It seems to come in thickets. There'll be a hundred yards of the stuff on a stream bank and then nothing.

Thanks guys. It does make you wonder how many little used bow woods there are out there. I say little used because Pojar and Mackinnon say the Nuu-chah-nulth people made children's bows from it. Funny just children's bows.
