This bow started out on a walk with my son and daughter in law on Christmas Day 2016. Land near me was logged off in early 2013 and property looked pretty rough after. They left tops everywhere. By 2016 we could walk this land much easier and we decided to take a buck saw with us in case we spied some HHB this bluff that did have in abundance years back.
Anyhow, we found a nice tree that had a top of an oak pinning it in a big U shape where it grew like this for four years approximately. Had about 6" of grown in reflex and covered in humps and bumps so we harvested it and carried it out.
Well after all this time it made a very unique looking bow which will be carried in my grip to the hunting woods soon as this blazing heat breaks. Shoots wonderful. Renfroe's is 66" 42@28" and really zips a 600grn arrow right along.
