Went out early. Got set up in a holler off a hilltop green field. Had deer go by coming off wheat at 0620hrs. Heard some birds way off on roost. Then, moved and followed creek and saw a group of hens. No Gobs on them.

Circled back North and saw a good groups in middle of pasture. Toms were working a bunch of hens. Great almost full moon morning and nice sunrise.

More Wuhan Days.

Out Turkey hunting yesterday. No bird but did walk out with a nice small diameter hedge apple. Then, I did a belly split off of a belly split. Yeah, you dont get billets like these from a double belly split very often. So, was pleased with them. about as clean as I've ever seen from Tenn yella wood.

the main way he eats it is jerky but when he makes a steak he doesn't go for well done. he sometimes does some special cut or something (I dont know) but he makes a dip and cuts slices of raw meat and you dip it in the sauce or mix and eat it raw. i think it has to be super fresh or something.

i think he puts the meat first in some sorta stuff, something very acidic that probably kills all the bacteria.

Just came back from a Hedge cut in the woods. Got about 1000lbs of yella wood. Some nice snake lumber too. Not bad for three hours work. Stuff boogered in deep. Had to rope some trees to get them down.  Hard to get at. Worth it none the less. Not like last summers haul but sap was down so it'll do for a spring haul.

Split some fresh Hedge today and maybe get to work on my "Wuhan Cure" bow? Got to get the yella wood staved out first. Have a wicked line of storms come thru last nite, cool now. Woulda been a great morning to hunt birds but have to these logs off this trailer.

The Wuhan Cure could not shake the china virus. One last heat treat to take some deflex outta upper limb and it succumbed. Was Ky wood. Should have left it be.
