I have tested many different bullets that are on the market today in my younger days. I ran tests shooting hand loads from various rifles ,and different bullet weights at 100 yds through wet telephone books testing for bullet weight retention ,and expansion. The wet telephone book would let you retrieve the bullet, and check the results. That bullet weighed 140 grs on my powder scale. Most likely it was a 150 gr bullet. Good bullet weight retention, and good expansion. A direct hit to that sapling could have easily caused that much expansion. Nosler Partition bullets that I retrieved from the telephone book showed way more expansion than that, and even core separation. Any how good bow making.
