Yeah, it was literally covered, handle to tip with these cracks. They were not visible until I put TruOil on it, and they were everywhere. It held together, but it looked like death eating a cracker.

I love the visual. lmao.

I think it added a cool bit of character to it now that I know what to expect.  Otherwise,  it's a solid candidate for snake skins.

If you have enough heartwood, take off the sapwood.

Hedge sapwood on limb bow is as stout a bow you'll ever pull. easy to get 80-100lbs @ 28" tillered out.
