Removing wing feathers

What is the easiest way to remove the wing feathers without damage?  I have been reluctant to risk the quality by pulling.  Some have been in mothballs over 2 years and should ne well dessicated, the rest have been in the freezer along with a healthy dose of borax for at least 10 months.  Both turkey and goose!

I lay the turkey wing on a block of wood fully open and cut them with a hatchet where the quills attach. A real good pair of shears works also but the hatchet is fast while in turkey camp.

Unless you want to use the quill for something, what Eddie says.

For fletching, where the quill doesn't really matter, I've used a wood chisel but prefer a long handled pair of side cutters. On old, freeze-dried wings I've even run them through the band saw with a fine toothed blade.

I just pull one feather at a time and they come out cleanly ... leave whole till time to use and I strip mine ..gut

I clipped them with pruning shears for years but when I had dozens of wings to clip it was rough on my arthritic hands, I switched to a bandsaw, super quick and simple.

What is the easiest way to remove the wing feathers without damage? 

Without damage to the quill?

Grab the feathers one at a time and pull.

I use bull nose pliers and cut each one at a time, works great 👍.
