Real nice Upstate! Like everything about that bow. Lilac is near the top of woods I'd like to try.

Another beauty Upstate. Your bows sure are impressive. Bet it's pretty fast, too. Great job.

Thanks for the responses guys.

PatM, now that you mention it, I think I remember you saying that a while back. Thanks for reminding me!

DC, Rochester NY is home of the "Lilac Festival." We've got a ton of it around here, but it's still very difficult to find a piece straight enough for a bow.

Thanks Pat B  :)

Woodely, I certainly wouldn't tempt fate with the wife!

Don, I really appreciate seeing those pics the way you set them up. Thank you!

Thanks bassman  )P(

BJ, sounds like that lilac's got your name on it.  8)

Thank you Marc. I'd say the heartwood is definitely the same down here. Hard to see in the pics, but one of the billets had enough of it to remain on the bow. It sure does smell nice!

Thank you Martin. The reflex was heated in then increased during the glue up. Huh, and I thought this handle wasn't that blocky. Been trying to make them more curvy and organic-feeling in the hand. Guess I've still got some work to do there.  ;D I appreciate the honesty. Glad you like the bow though!  :OK

Thanks Slim and OO.

Hope you get your hands on some soon M2A. You won't be disappointed

Thank you Steve!  :)

Fairly right Jeff! I researched some of your earlier ones, this one looks way more rounded. With the cut in shelf maybe even necessary, but that's just guessing....no experience with hard backings and perry....
So sorry...
This is an outstanding bow and a hot one for BOM!
