Will uneven recurved tips affect performance?

I am working on a laminate bow, and my recurved tips didn't end up matching very well.  One is a pretty short, sharp hook, the other not so much.  It's a little late to be altering them now, and I'm just wondering if I should expect to notice any decrease in performance?

You may not notice. I do this on purpose sometimes to balance out the tiller.The shorter recurve will be stiffer.

I think you'll find it's a design feature deliberately introduced to counteract the asymmetry inherent in any bow where the hand is below the point where the string is drawn

Well the bow hasn't been tillered out yet, so I suppose any slight difference could be adjusted with the tiller.   So that brings me to my next question,  sharp hook on the top limb, or bottom?
