Lived in Irvine for a while while my wife went to school.  I pretty much abstained from hunting for 5 years due to Cali regulations being so complex and the hostility the general public has toward hunters.  Wish you luck, there's got to be some some bow builders in SoCal somewhere.  I personally  wasn't able to find a group of people who shot anything  other than training wheels.

I do have to echo what jeffp51 asked...why would you do this to yourself?
