Not just any countertop. This is a type of glass counter top. There might be other types that would knap. I'm not really sure. When in doubt. Hit it. :KN

I just want to bump this to the front page for Patrick.

This is the glass counter I have Patrick. It knaps pretty nice. I got it from Frank at Marshall.

Yep, that's the material I've been looking for. Seems to be special order stuff, since I can't get any around where I live.

How to Cook It?  200° for 24hrs then 275° to 500° for 4hrs (depending on type), Cool for 12hr

I don’t have as much as I was thinking left Patrick. This is what I have left. I made several really nice knives from it already. When I was packing up to leave Marshall. Frank called me over to look through his stuff. I got a bundle of odd ball stuff and a few pretty nice nodules. Spent more than I really wanted to spend but got some pretty nice stuff. It’s still hard for this old farm boy to pay good money for rocks.lol.

PS I think I’ve heard off guys finding shelves made from this stuff to.

BJ when I bought rock dad would look at me & say you can pick up all the rock you want for free out in the fields.
Nice blade.

They use to say that to me. But I’ve dragged enough rock home that they don’t want me picking it up from the field anymore either.lol ;)
