To cut to the chase, I won the 50# ELB class  :)
The distances were well down due to strong head winds, damp weather and an uphill shot.
I also shot my little Osage flight bow, which they classed an an ALB (despite it being too short!  :o ) as that was the nearest appropriate class which they were hosting.
I won that too :) , actual distances haven't been published yet, but some people were saying their distances were 90 yards down on last year!
It just gives me an idea that I'm in the right ball park.

I had the added excitement of overdrawing a 26" flight arrow into the belly of the little Osage  :o It exploded spectacularly and the string sheared a bit off the overlay, but the bow seems fine.  (you can see the dink in the belly in the pic)
It's blogged up in more detail here:-

Other pic is me shooting the ELB, note the PA head gear :)

Well done, Del.  :OK

Del,
I read your write up on the blog, sounds like some challenging conditions to say the least. I hope you get another chance to put a few arrows through the ELB and report back. I assume it is this one?

It's one of 3 that I built as per that post.
It's the shortened and re-worked Mk2, heat treated yew belly, Boo back. The belly spalled out a chunk of wood and was patched but its still ended up faster than the Boo/Yew/Ipe! Best speed clock was 211.9 fps :)
It's a testament to the durability of a executed made belly patch :)
