Looking into making gut bow string. I've heard of the natives using bear intestines but would other intestines work? Like possum or coon? How do you process them?

Pop used hog intestines. Sausage casing, to be exact. I plan to do the same thing.

Pig, sheep, and bear are the most popular for strings. I’m guessing that as long as it’s long enough oof a piece, it should work. Chicken and beef intestines are better for eating than string because of how small chicken is and how fatty beef is.
