Hello my friends. Nice to see forum PA again, after a long time. I was absent from bowmaking again but finally started. Here are two sapling bows, dogwood (cornus sanguinea). Owner cutted some fence and I took them both. They are brothers, from the same root and looks similar. I wanted to make matched pair of bows. Very high crown forced me to start from deflex, because they were not straight. Sanguinea is extremely tension strong wood (once before I made 140# longbow from sapling with high crown) and even with so high crown it overpowered belly, causing some set. Made two slim shooters and have some fun.
1-1/2” deflex with about 1/2” set.
389 gr smaller. 170cm ntn 35# 28”
434 gr larger 172cm ntn 50# 28”
P.S. I can not attach full draw although both pics are under 200 kb. :/
