« on: May 20, 2019, 10:13:04 am »
I just finished a four day bow building workshop with a few guys. They worked really hard and made some beautiful bows. Two guys made osage bows but another had a yew stave that he wanted to tackle.

That's excellent, Weylin. With a teacher like you I'm not surprised they were all successful. Well done!   :OK

Where can one buy a square tube vice as shown in some of the pictures? It is the one that clamps down the bow stave and has the long screw on top. Really need one of those.

Nice bends on all those bows. Congrats, teacher!

Thanks Steve. They did. They were very diligent.

Thanks, Pat!

Yup, like Pat said. I got them from Cody. Way better than the ones you get from 3 Rivers.

Thanks, Knoll. It was a kangaroo massacre!

I love seeing you put on these classes Weylin. I'm sure all these guys are going to be happy and gained the confidence they needed to keep building selfbows.

Very cool. The best part of this craft for me, is the passing it on.

Looks like they learned their lessons very well!  Nice bows!  Their instructor does good!  I do like that vise of Cody's, maybe he can post some pics of it without stealing the thread, or post another thread!

Thanks, guys!

Keenan Howard sells them. They are called stavemasters and they are awesome. If you google it you will find his website.
