What finish, if any, do you use on the handle?  I am thinking about beeswax/ flax oil, or TruOil.

Wow, that looks great. Every man needs a Hawk.

 If you have to pull the trigger, is it really archery?

Yes, I have several...oh wait, you mean....yeah, I do have several!   ::)

And bubbleicious is right, throwing tomahawk is fun.  It doesn't require any great strength, so kids are just as competitive as adults. It takes no powder/patch/ball, requires no great effort to clean up. You can do it alone or with friends. It can be done for bragging rights or for quarters thrown in a hat. Just turn a stump on end and clear the way.
Guns have triggers. Bicycles have wheels. Trees and bows have wooden limbs.

Hawk you can do anything you want to finish it, personally i will probably scorch the handle and rub linseed oil on it still hot. That's how i do my tool handles

Hadn't thought of that, but the wood will take the oil/wax better if the wood is warm!
