Is there an optimum size for loops? Is one of these to big/to small?

Long as they stay put, and the string doesnt wanna jump off, or slip to one side, you should be fine. Basically, if it works, its good :)

As long as the small loop fits over your nocks and the big loop can slide up and down the limb for stringing/unstringing you're good. I'd say what you have there looks good.
