I shoot with no rest. I was shooting the other day with a dozen arrows and every once in a while one would smack my knuckle. I thought it was me. It occurred to me that it was happening once a round so the next time I stopped and went and got the arrow. Took a good look and it had a long slow bend. I bent it straight and never had an arrow hit my knuckle the rest of the day. Not saying anything that hits your knuckle is bent but in this case it fixed it.

DC, canting the bow will also help with a cleaner release.

Been shooting 70+ years and still cant the self bow about 5-10 degrees,(most of the time)! Also wear an arm guad and glove. All my bows have a shelf. IMO, the canting helps keep the arrow in the proper position.
