This is one of the best bows I have ever seen. You, sir, are becoming a true master in our craft.
I'm unfamiliar with that wood, would you say it's similar to any other particular wood?
It is top bow wood for sure! It is similar like yew in that you can use the sap on the back and it has great compression strength so you can get away with a narrow rounded belly. It is a little heavier then yew though.
Over here it mostly grows in gardens and some parks so it is hard to get. It usually grows pretty crooked too!
I was going to say that it looks a lot like yew.
