Looks like you've discovered a high-quality stave supplier . . . . .
... alone in distant woods or fields, in unpretending sproutlands or pastures tracked by rabbits, even in a bleak and, to most, cheerless day .... .  I suppose that this value, in my case, is equivalent to what others get by churchgoing & prayer.  Hank Thoreau, 1857

That's a sweet set up for steaming!! Looking forward to seeing the bow when it's completed.

That's going to be a sweetheart :D Hard to align the string. I'll be watching to see how much you have to shorten the tips to achieve string lift off before FD.

Great start Bill.   What do you use the toaster oven for?

"What do you use the toaster oven for?"  Hot snacks when the Outlaw visits the shop. lol
Seriously...I was thinking of using it to soften files to make knives.

Not this one Mike, I cut this one a few years back, 2015,  it has a few reddish streaks in it.

Aligning the string came really easy on this one so far.
The tough part is getting this damn thing on a short string/brace. lol
I'm getting weaker in my older age.  :)

Thanks to everyone for the nice comments.

DBar, did you do anything to stiffen the PVC tube? I tried it once and the tube bent and flattened.

Love those deep hooks Bill, I'm sure with your patience and eye for detail work it will turn out as nice as every bow I've seen of yours.
