Bassman, I'm always impressed how the natives and Primitive man in general used and adapted to what their environment  gave them. I think of how many things we throw away because of some precieved defect or flaw. I'm guessing if you and your children are really hungry, you find a way to make use of your surroundings.

PS that is a darn nice bend and a really nice set.

Cool looking little bow Bob. I'm sure at 45# that bow would make meat. Well done.

I looks like it might go to 20 inches, the string angle seems ok,, (f) , I have found with a 20 inch power stroke 150 fps with a 10 gpp arrow is achievable,, that would give you a 500 grain arrow at about 150 fps,, that is definitely a deadly weapon,, for deer, and in my opinion with a heavier arrow ,, elk close range,,,, I love the shorter Native style bows, and feel there is a very good reason they made so many bow types that are short by todays standards,,.congrats on your  bow,,

Brad, keep in mind the brace height needs to be subtracted from the power stroke.

I have pulled it to 19 inches ,but it is really stacking. Our natives had to have made as good or better bows than this one, so yes I think on their terms they were lethal weapons, though they almost look like toys at this length. Thanks for the replies guys.

Hey Pat you are right about that,, I said it wrong,, when I get a bow to 20 inches of draw,, I can usually get 150 fps with 10 gpp arrow,,
