When measuring the length of a recurve, do you measure the full length of the stave flat or flip the tips then measure the shorter length?

Functionally a recurve becomes shorter but it's still better to measure actual bow length along the curves.

If I'm posting a recurve on here I usually give both measurements. At least I think I do
