Thanks fellas...Making all these crafts I learned function over form is a good rule.If it can't handle the use then it's not very useful or just mostly ceremonial. It seems I'm the only one who likes to embroidery bead a little. No matter maybe someone else will give it a try.It can be a little addictive to do too like making bows.My work is'nt museum display quality but gets by for me.
I used cobalt blue and a crow pale blue size no. 12 beads.Rather small but more detail can be made using a smaller bead.Because of the steep angle of design I had to sew it with an in line back stitch method to get a smoother staggered edge.Got em down good and tight though with a half way though leather back out type of stitch.A tough nemo thread is used.It supposed to represent an arrow head.I might add a little more beadwork later.Maybe some small rosettes or something.I like to let the weight of the glass to help hold the flap shut.Works pretty good.

Nice work on the whole bag, and the beading most definitely is an arrowhead! Haven't done any real beadwork for a long time, too hard to see the holes in the little beads. Have to learn how to adjust the fly tying magnifier!.

Yep Hawk that eye sight change started for me at about 45 years old.I'm far sighted so I need readers glasses to bead any more.
Finished it up.The rings designate the 4 winds.

Real nice Ed, the beads and strap really set it off and I like how they also hold your flap down. Bob
