Really really beautiful, as always. What went in to the finish and getting it to shine like that?

Stunning. My favorite one of yours yet!

Thanks! I used just a cheap fast drying spray on varnish. I do the last piece of ring chasing and final tillering with a card scraper, that leaves a pretty good finish. I do some final hand sanding with 240 grid but that only takes me 5 to 10 minutes or so

Ha wow then I'm doing something wrong with my cheap spray on varnishes! I never manage to get a reflective surface without a good amount of elbow grease, no matter how nice a surface the wood is before I spray it.

What I forgot to mention is that this bow is fumed. I notice when fuming a bow it somehow gets a smoother finish. I had this with fumed osage, mulberry, black locust and white oak. I do not have an explanation for this but it really comes out smoother somehow

Congratulations on the BOM Leonwood. I gotta admit I was routing for Dbar and his Feather backed entry. If you've ever seen one and seen his work it's top shelf amazing. I knew this bow was going to be some stiff competition though. Well done sir and I know this bow means a lot to you.
