So do they match real well? Friend of mine found a 60 in price that was pretty straight. Had some minor bug damage he said but not horrible. Said it was in his shed for years.

Without seeing it it's hard to say. With bug damage it's sometimes not what you see but what you don't see.
 I would use a good stave dedicated to building a sinew backed bow, not one that might not be good.

What Pat said. Sinew shouldn't a bandaid for a bad stave, it should be an integral component for a bow that has been well designed to take optimal advantage of it's properties.
