Chinkapin is in the chestnut family(Castanea pumila). I've never used it but if it is like chestnut it probably isn't good bow wood. If nothing else, plant the seeds for the wildlife. You might Google "planting chinkapin seeds" to see if there any special considerations relating to chinkapin seed germination.
But, you'll never know if it's bow wood unless you try it.
