A different string question

For you guys that are going the skinny string route how do you thicken the center of the string? Pad it up with extra threads or just put another layer of serving on?

good ideas, thanx guys, will try that.

dc: i underlay 6 threads of b50 - 3 for each strand. therefore you have to separate and untwist the string where the serving is going to be. then i put in the additional threads and retwist. if you put enough wax all holds together well for serving.

badgers method seems easier do do. simsons i have to take a closer look also.

Yep, wrap the string with teflon tape.  I use the heavy duty tape.  It may take two wraps with a really skinny string.  Works very well.

 ! Make your nocks smaller? . Couldn't resist!  I don't remember what I did on my FF Flemish, but I think I added a few strands of B50 then served as usual.  Only made 1 FF Flemish string so far, though.

Just did a google search for that teflon tape - pretty much expensive here in Germany.

Upholstering with dental floss is done in 2 min, prize = nothing.

You can also splice in a couple more strands where you’ll be serving
