Hello, and a happy fall season to everyone! I tossed this name around for a while, and have decided to commit. My new screenname, bowyer name, whatever...is NorthHeart. When i first joined the forums i picked something i could remember. As it becomes more concrete that the bow is a way of life for me, i choose something that represents my journey, and something i will never forget.
Now about the bow that represents this, and wears my logo. A Yew flatbow ive been at for a while. Deflex/reflex, stiff non working outter limbs, stiff handle. Rawhide backed. Layered leather shelf. Beads around the stitched leather grip are authentic glass trade beads from around the 1700s or so, from Italy or Russia, cant remember the exact story from the bead collector i got them from, but what the Native Americans traded for and adored. I love being able to use history in the bow, or bringing something special into each piece.
There were some clusters of little knots on the lower limb, and i think that the tiller has altered just a bit around this area as i continue to shoot it in. Shes still quite a shooter. Short and stout 54" OAL, 48#@23". 520gr arrow @ 152-155fps. Quiet and zero handshock. Art work and color scheme hit me from someplace i cant pinpoint, but i just listened and did it. Hope you like!
