A new set of arrows I whipped up for a customer. Tonkin cane with self nocks, fletched with wild turkey primaries and sinew.

Very nice! I've always liked that reddish stain on arrows. :D

Nice looking arrows. Do you have to sand much to get the stain to take?

Thanks, DC. Me too.

Thanks, Pat. :)

Thank you, JEB. These shafts came with a coat of gasket laquer on them. I had to scrape and sand that off before I stained them.

If you have to pull the trigger, is it really archery?

Very nice! Do they have field points on them?

Life is far too serious to be taken that way!

Yes, they have 5/16th points on them. because the shaft diameter is not totally consistent for the bamboo I added a small sinew wrap at the base of the tips to smooth out the transition between the tip and the shaft. Hopefully that way they wont get so snagged when they get pulled out of the target.

Do you use any type of glue for the feather attachment or just the sinew?

That sunburst of stain is very appealing. Is is progressively diluted red or do you use individual mixed stains? I guess I am asking, "how the heck did you do that?"
