Well Im back at it trying to make one thatll shoot. So question. Will unbacked vine maple at 47" comfortably make a 20" draw? do you think I should back it in sinew? Thanks

Most woods will actually come close to a 2 to 1 ratio if made of sound wood and tillered well.

Like Pat said, 47" should be enough for 23.5" of draw. I'd make the limbs as wide as you can.
