Just plucked up courage and shot it through the chrono'
255 fps  ;D
It needs some minor improvement to the limb mountings as they are tending to twist up at the tips slightly due to all the taper being up from the lower edge.
All in all it's pretty good :)

Cheers guys, it's still a work in progress, but hopefully, being glass it won't drop speed and poundage like the previous boo/wood prods did :(

I don't think they shot that fast, but the big steel prods could throw a very heavy heavy projectile.
One big windlass crossbow with a draw weight of over half a tone was shot over a quarter mile by Sir Ralph Payne Galwey, so they must have been pretty quick.
