4x36 belt sander conversion kit
« on: September 09, 2018, 06:58:55 am »
Has anyone tried out this conversion kit for a 4x36 belt sander?  I'm thinking about getting one.  It converts it to a 2x48.  It would have to be better than the 1x42 I'm currently using.  I would have more belt options.  My ultimate goal is to get a 2x72 with the different attachments.

No, but I could see skateboard wheels and DIY working out.

Looks interesting, it would certainly make the belt sander more versatile.

I ordered one when I saw OO's post. Arrived in timely fashion. Assembled this weekend per the online instructional video. It is sturdy assembly. It works as shown in the videos, so no real need to post more here. While it is not a 2" x 72" grinder, it offers way more versatility than the old belt sander.

Better off getting a Dayton 2x42 sander they are the same price but turn 3 time faster, then you can work and save for a 2x72
