Removing staples
« on: August 16, 2018, 12:10:58 pm »
Does anyone know if there is a way to get the staples out of one of these? I've had this thing for 40 years and I've never been able to get them out. It's a real pain when you shoot a few of one size and then want to change. I saw a video that says you can't get them out but I can't imagine them building something like that. I've shot an awful lot of staples into the garbage.

I don't see the spring plunger that keeps the staples pushed up into the magazine.
The staples usually get wedged in between the firing pin and side walls.
They can usually be removed by taking off C clip. Clear gun of staples before
 inserting ones of different length

It's not jammed or anything. I can shoot all the staples and then put in more but there doesn't seem to be a way to get any unused staples out.

I found it!!!! You have to push on the "hammer" and they pop out in your hand. I only use it to put new covers on my targets but it was a pain not knowing how to get them out. I had poked and prodded around that area but just never pushed it the right way. I guess 71 isn't too late to learn stuff. Almost, but not quite. ;D ;D
