Great friend and a new bow
« on: August 06, 2018, 09:04:59 am »
My very good friend, Mike (stixnstones) made me a beautiful bow. Its spliced hackberry billets with WDB skins and buff tips. It draws about 51-52# at my draw length. Its very smooth, very quiet and shoots great. I love it and am honored to have received it. If life straightens out I may just stuff an arrow through a deer with it this fall. Thanks buddy, love the bow and you mijo'.

Steve its one of those bows that is just dead in the hand and ear with a bare string. I have yet to figure out what makes a bow act that way, but I sure love it.

Nice. Well made and we'll deserved.
Straight wood may make a better bow, but crooked wood makes a better bowyer

Mike's bows keep gettin' better 'n' better 'n' better.

That's sharp looking.  Mike builds an excellent bow.  Well done.
