North East Arkansas.
« on: July 15, 2018, 08:55:02 pm »
I have been wanting to learn to build a Self bow for a long time. I live in Ravenden Springs Ar. Does anyone know a bowyer in Northeast Ar? Or close? I was really wanting to attend Mojam this year, being only six hours away. But confliction with work schedule and funds won't allow me to this year. Any help would be appreciated. I do have a buddy that lives about 50 miles east, that has built a few, but our available times never match up. Just wanting to hear some options. I would be willing to drive a fair distance. Maybe under 4 hours?  Thanks in advance. If this is the wrong place for this post just let me know, I'm new here. Lol

make plans to come to Mayflower September 1~2...the TBA is having the state longbow shoot and several of us will camp and work on bows.

I can try to make it to mayflower. But I'm a manager at a sporting goods store in Jonesboro and at that time we will be gearing up for deer season. I'm sure Mike will be there. He is the one that has helped me so far.

Mike Middlebrook is in Jonesboro.  He's our new club president for TBA.  He makes a nice selfbow.

Bob Mike is actually the guy helping me. We just have conflicting schedules. I have known him for year. And matter of fact I think we have met before, u and i.  I will try to make it to mayflower.

I'm actually closer to Mojam, which is going on right now basically. Just can't get the time off or find a dog sitter, also my funds are pretty lacking at the moment. Part of the reason I would like to find an instructor, because then we set the time up when I have the money etc. I talked with James Parker, and am thinking my girlfriend and I will head out there this spring for a class or two. Thanks for all the help guys.
