Takedown sleeve question
« on: July 09, 2018, 04:25:30 pm »
I received a takedown sleeve today from Pine Hollow Longbows, and it came with two brass inserts. I've heard of them comin with two before, but never knew why. The last one I ordered came with one, does anyone know the reasoning for having two brass inserts?
Thanks
Eric

The one that's all the way in the sleeve is to be driven out of the handle and epoxied to the billet. Once it dries drive the handle back on. That way you don't get glue up in your female. The Male is glued to the other billet and is your bottom limb and the one that comes out.

Arvin, yes! The billets will work out great! I'm looking for work to using them.
Thanks Mike, that makes sense.
