When you leave the tips wide for string alignment when do you narrow them? After full brace and the alignment is good? Do you have to leave the tips a little stiff until then? Just double checking my thinkin'

I usualy leave them 1/2wide and 5/8 thick until close to final tiller then trim them to about 5/16 wide.

Once I get the bow braced and see how the string tracks I narrow and shape the tips.

I leave the nocks an inch wide to track the string better at brace. I leave the handle full width to track the string better. I shape both after full draw.
