"Of Heaven and Earth" Osage/sinew/rawhide
« on: June 29, 2018, 08:21:18 pm »
Here is a relatively light weight Osage bow i built with sinew and rawhide.  37#@27".  Buffalo horn tips and leather grip.  Reflexed tips.  I learned a lot from this bow.  I named it according to the artwork, which ties the heavens and the earth together with symbols of Nordic and "old world" meaning.  The flowers in bloom on Montana mountains remind me that Earth has such wisdom and beauty to share.

I don't always like painted bows, but you have done a fine job all around. A real work of art.

ooh pretty  ;D thats literally the first thing i said when i opened your post.

i think its cool that you used Norse symbols with a color and pattern scheme reminiscent of native american artwork.

good looking bow and a good target shooting weight

Great job. I like everything about it.

Like the name. Like the bend. Like the artwork. Like the pictures. Guess that doesn't leave anything not to like. Nice bow 240m3srt. Looks like you found a little piece of heaven on earth there in those Montana Mountains to.
