How hot was it?
« on: June 29, 2018, 11:47:07 am »
Decided to spray a few weeds yesterday - came back into the garage and looked at the clock/ thermometer read time 1:41 - temp 104.5!  No wonder, I was thirsty!

We've been hot here too but with the afternoon showers we have been putting our night temps in the 60s.

The  relative humidity was at about 10% or so!  So dry the rabbits wanted me to fill their canteens!  We are ok water wise in our area but the rest of the state is in drought status, a lot of it extreme.  Got 9 wildlfires going right now south of us, most big and getting bigger!
Tracker,
Making hay ain't fun if the temp is over about 80F - but I don't remember it ever being that cool when it was time to make hay!  I do remember the going rate for"putting up" hay was $.10 a bale for a crew with a truck!  Didn't get in on that detail, though! >:D

I've been peeking at the forecast for the Mo Jam time period.I hope the weatherman is right.Pretty pleasant forecast.
Making hay prices have dramatically changed opposed to when I baled 3000 small squared bales a summer.I used to bale small squares for people for .30 a bale.Nowadays it's a 1 man operation from inside an air conditioned cab but the price to own those nice big air conditioned tractors and equipment is very expensive.
