Elm,53ttt,55\60#@26/27"
« on: June 13, 2018, 02:12:06 pm »
The guy I made this for wanted it to look primitive,so I rubbed in dandilion heads, grass and charcoal.i couldn't find my bear grease so poly had to do!the limbs both have some character and the bottom has a pretty good wiggle on the outer limbs making the lower look stiff.ive put around 50 arrows through it and it may break in a bit more?thxs bush!

Nice bow bushy. Tiller looks great to me. Looks like a short bow with a long draw.

Nice job, that first picture sure makes it look small.

Awesome!  I'm working on a bow almost exactly like that, just a little longer.  That really is sweet!

Very nice shorty! I'm amazed at how good that unbraced profile looks with such a high draw weight.  :OK

Bush, you flat squeezed all the juice out of that little bow! I can’t even get Bois d’Arc close to those specs. I got to ask, how wide are the limbs? And did you heat treat? Again, good job!

Great looking bow. Interesting sounding finish, may have to experiment with something along those lines some day.

Sweet bow, I love that length but on the ones I've made, I got too much set. Very nice work!

Thanks guys!it is a Willow leaf profile, hard to tell from the crappy pics.it is widest in the mids @1-1/4".very slight heat treating, maybe 15mins with the heat gun.i did however give a smidge of deflex in the handle in order to lessen the over strain!thxs bush!

Yeah that's an excellent profile from such a short bow.  You have some talent my friend!

Wow, that is a sweet bend.  You got everything out of that piece. Gotta love heat treated elm.
