Nice work guys, I always use a sow-back or a short-bend gouge for my spoon bowls, makes life a huge amount easier. For whittling with a gouge, you hold the gouge like a pen, keep the tips of both your thumbs touching and kind of rock the work and spoon up and down and back and forth. It sounds more complex than it really is. The thumbs together triangulates everything and stops you pushing the gouge through your hand
