Bamboo or Palm

I still have difficulty believing that this bow is Bamboo because of the size of the lower tip but the belly side says somthing else.
The tip is 3/4 " never seen  bamboo that is that thick.

Ive seen somewhere on a site that had bamboo that was about 3 in. thick and the center hole was about 1/4th in. Soo I would say its bamboo, I wish I could remember what the name of it was. Well maybe someone who knows for sure will speak up for you.    Trapper

Yes, that is bamboo. Looks like the string is as well. Any chance of more photos?
Often bamboo bows are used with the inner growth as the back of the bow and the outer skin as the belly. Any sign of heat treating?

The bow that I have which is made of Palm doesn't look like that. This one is noticeably made from Bamboo

The bow is from the south pacific so I would say it was heat treated in a fire.
