New Jim Hamm book
« on: April 26, 2018, 06:49:29 pm »
Jim Hamm, of the TBBs, has just published a new book. Aimed mainly at beginners it seems. The title is Wooden Bows: What I wish I'd known when I started. Haven't seen the full book yet, just a kindle preview at:

The print version should be out in a week or so.

Thanks for the heads up, Tim.
I've often thought of that subject.

I can't not buy that. I think it's necessary to own every bow making book.

Thanks for the heads up Tim. It's very reasonably priced, especially for the electronic version.

George:

I've been out of the loop for a time so it's great to see you online again.

Are there other veterans of the White Wood Wars here?

And when are you going to write your book?

Not sure it was ever so much of a WW war on here as it was on the wall.  I'm sure you've heard Dean has passed.

I just got a message from Marc St Louis regarding this thread, suggesting that I read rule number 6 before I get myself in trouble.

Opinions anyone?

I challenge Mark's call that announcing the publication of another book on bowmaking is breaking any rule, and call on the powers that be here to make a ruling.

Announcing the book is not the problem, posting the direct link is.

Marc: You claim that telling fellow archers where they can buy a new bow book, giving other bowmakers such helpful information of this type is against the rules.

Again, I challenge that and call on the powers that be to make a ruling.

Here's another interesting new bow book. If posting this is breaking a rule then I'm in the wrong place. So let's see:
